National Curriculum
Dance is now part of the National Curriculum. Dance is now a major feature in the physical education programme that can be take by all school children under 11 years old. Dance is an excellent way for children to explore movement, gain confidence and learn about cultures the world over.
Special needs - The IDTA has always been actively involved in assisting those with special needs. We are happy to discuss your children's requirements and will make every endeavour to assist. You may also wish to contact the following organisations for additional help and information.

Some simple safety tips
Make sure that your young dancers have enough room around them , clearing away toys off the floor, removing any slippery rugs and making sure they are clear of any sharp objects. Warming up is important for the body, try and encourage them to do some simple stretches before they begin.
